Basketball 100 Limites takes the protection of your personal information seriously. This policy explains what we collect, why, and how it is protected.

1. Data controller
Basketball 100 Limites is responsible for data collected through this site and at registration. Any question: basket100limites@gmail.com.
2. Data we collect
Parent account: full name, email, phone, language. Registered child: full name, date of birth, position, level, medical notes you choose to share. Bookings: services booked, amount, payment status, e-Transfer references. Player profile (if applicable): height, weight, school, club, video, bio.
3. Why we collect it
To create your account, manage your bookings, track e-Transfer payments, send you reminders and confirmations, supervise your child safely, issue the Relevé 24 (Quebec tax credit), and — only if you make a player profile public — display the recruiting card at `/players/[slug]`.
4. Legal basis
Performance of the service contract, consent (notably for public player profiles and optional marketing) and legal obligations (tax, safety).
5. Sharing with third parties
We never sell your data. We use limited technical subprocessors: Supabase (database hosting + authentication), Resend (transactional email), Vercel (site hosting). These providers act on our instructions and with contractual security commitments.
6. Data location
We prefer hosting the database in the Canadian region. Some subprocessors may process technical metadata outside Canada (notably the United States) — solely to run the service.
7. Security
Hashed passwords, database access restricted by Row-Level Security (each parent only sees their own data), HTTPS encrypted connections, admin keys restricted to the server.
8. Retention
Account and booking data: as long as the account is active, then up to 7 years to meet tax obligations (Relevé 24, etc.). Earlier deletion on request is possible — subject to legal obligations.
9. Your rights
At any time you can: review, correct or delete your data, withdraw consent for marketing communications, request account portability. Email basket100limites@gmail.com.
10. Minors
Activities are for ages 12-17, but the paying account is opened and managed by the parent or legal guardian. No minor can open a payment account alone.
11. Cookies
The site uses strictly necessary cookies (session, authentication, language preference). No third-party advertising cookies are set.
12. Public player profiles
If you toggle `is_public` on a player profile, the recruiting card (name, school, sports stats, video, bio) becomes accessible at `/players/[slug]`. You can disable it any time from your account.
13. Changes
This policy may be updated. The date is shown at the top. Important changes are communicated by email.
